Weather Policy
We will call off games by 4pm of any scheduled house league if:
- There has been a heavy rain for the majority of the day and it’s felt field will not have drained properly prior to game play
- The city has closed the fields
- There is a weather advisory by Environment Canada that poses a risk to players (i.e: thunderstorm warning, tornado warning etc)
The home page will be updated by 4pm indicating whether games have been cancelled and also parents in all divisions will be emailed by the registrar that games that evening have been cancelled.
If the games are not cancelled and it either rains just prior or during a game the 2 coaches will confer with their convener and together decide if the game should be called off. If the coaches and convener agree to cancel a game prior to game time the 2 coaches to contact the parents to inform them of the game cancellation.
All parents and coaches are expected to arrive at all games despite the weather conditions unless they have received an email notifying them of cancelled games or the website indicates that night’s games are cancelled.
